ﱁWho (would) sayﱂAre you indeedﱃsurely ofﱄthose who believeﱅ
who used to ask ˹me˺, ‘Do you actually believe ˹in resurrection˺?

ﱆIs (it) whenﱇwe have diedﱈand becomeﱉdustﱊand bonesﱋwill weﱌsurely be brought to Judgmentﱍ
When we are dead and reduced to dust and bones, will we really be brought to judgment?’”

ﱎHe (will) sayﱏWillﱐyouﱑbe lookingﱒ
He will ˹then˺ ask, “Would you care to see ˹his fate˺?”

ﱓThen he (will) lookﱔand see himﱕinﱖ(the) midstﱗ(of) the Hellfireﱘ
Then he ˹and the others˺ will look and spot him in the midst of the Hellfire.

ﱙHe (will) sayﱚBy Allahﱛverilyﱜyou almostﱝruined meﱞ
He will ˹then˺ say, “By Allah! You nearly ruined me.

ﱟAnd if notﱠ(for the) Graceﱡ(of) my Lordﱢcertainly, I (would) have beenﱣamongﱤthose broughtﱥ
Had it not been for the grace of my Lord, I ˹too˺ would have certainly been among those brought ˹to Hell˺.”

ﱦThen are notﱧweﱨ(to) dieﱩ
˹Then he will ask his fellow believers,˺ “Can you imagine that we will never die,

ﱪExceptﱫour deathﱬthe firstﱭand notﱮweﱯwill be punishedﱰ
except our first death, nor be punished ˹like the others˺?”

ﱱIndeedﱲthisﱳsurelyﱴ(is) the attainmentﱵgreatﱶ
This is truly the ultimate triumph.

ﱷFor (the) likeﱸ(of) thisﱹlet workﱺthe workersﱻ
For such ˹honour˺ all should strive.

ﱼIs thatﱽbetterﱾ(as) hospitalityﱿorﲀ(the) treeﲁ(of) Zaqqumﲂ
Is this ˹bliss˺ a better accommodation or the tree of Zaqqûm?

ﲃIndeed, Weﲄ[We] have made itﲅa trialﲆfor the wrongdoersﲇ
We have surely made it a test for the wrongdoers.

ﲈIndeed, itﲉ(is) a treeﲊthat growsﲋinﲌ(the) bottomﲍ(of) the Hellfireﲎ
Indeed, it is a tree that grows in the depths of Hell,

ﲏIts emerging fruitﲐ(is) as if itﲑ(was) headsﲒ(of) the devilsﲓ
bearing fruit like devils’ heads.

ﲔAnd indeed, theyﲕ(will) surely eatﲖfrom itﲗand fillﲘwith itﲙ(their) belliesﲚ
The evildoers will certainly ˹be left to˺ eat from it, filling up their bellies with it.

ﲛThenﲜindeedﲝfor themﲞin itﲟ(is) a mixtureﲠofﲡboiling waterﲢ
Then on top of that they will be given a blend of boiling drink.

ﲣThenﲤindeedﲥtheir returnﲦ(will) surely be toﲧthe Hellfireﲨ
Then they will ultimately return to ˹their place in˺ Hell.

ﲩIndeed, theyﲪfoundﲫtheir fathersﲬastrayﲭ
Indeed, they found their forefathers astray,
- Reflections
ﲮSo theyﲯonﲰtheir footstepsﲱthey hastenedﲲ
so they rushed in their footsteps!

ﲳAnd verilyﲴwent astrayﲵbefore themﲶmostﲷ(of) the former (people)ﲸ
And surely most of the earlier generations had strayed before them,
- Reflections
ﲹAnd verilyﲺWe sentﲻamong themﲼwarnersﲽ
although We had certainly sent warners among them.
- Reflections
ﲾThen seeﲿhowﳀwasﳁ(the) endﳂ(of) those who were warnedﳃ
See then what was the end of those who had been warned.

ﳄExceptﳅ(the) slavesﳆ(of) Allahﳇthe chosen onesﳈ
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
- Reflections
ﳉAnd verilyﳊcalled UsﳋNuhﳌand Bestﳍ(are We as) Respondersﳎ
Indeed, Noah cried out to Us, and how excellent are We in responding!

ﳏAnd We saved himﳐand his familyﳑfromﳒthe distressﳓthe greatﳔ
We delivered him and his family from the great distress,
