ﱁThat we mayﱂfollowﱃthe magiciansﱄifﱅthey areﱆthey areﱇthe victoriousﱈ
so that we may follow the magicians if they prevail?”
- Reflections
ﱉSo whenﱊcameﱋthe magiciansﱌthey saidﱍto FiraunﱎIs thereﱏfor usﱐa rewardﱑifﱒwe areﱓwe areﱔthe victoriousﱕ
When the magicians came, they asked Pharaoh, “Shall we have a ˹suitable˺ reward if we prevail?”
- Reflections
ﱖHe saidﱗYesﱘand indeed youﱙthenﱚsurely (will be) ofﱛthe ones who are brought nearﱜ
He replied, “Yes, and you will then certainly be among those closest to me.”

ﱝSaidﱞto themﱟMusaﱠThrowﱡwhatﱢyouﱣ(are) going to throwﱤ
Moses said to them, “Cast whatever you wish to cast.”
- Reflections
ﱥSo they threwﱦtheir ropesﱧand their staffsﱨand saidﱩBy the mightﱪ(of) Firaunﱫindeed, weﱬsurely, weﱭ(are) the victoriousﱮ
So they cast down their ropes and staffs, saying, “By Pharaoh’s might, it is we who will surely prevail.”
- Reflections
ﱯThen threwﱰMusaﱱhis staffﱲand beholdﱳItﱴswallowedﱵwhatﱶthey falsifiedﱷ
Then Moses threw down his staff, and—behold!—it devoured the objects of their illusion!

ﱸThen fell downﱹthe magiciansﱺprostrateﱻ
So the magicians fell down, prostrating.

ﱼThey saidﱽWe believeﱾin (the) Lordﱿ(of) the worldsﲀ
They declared, “We ˹now˺ believe in the Lord of all worlds—

ﲁLordﲂ(of) Musaﲃand Harunﲄ
the Lord of Moses and Aaron.”
- Reflections
ﲅHe saidﲆYou believedﲇin himﲈbeforeﲉ[that]ﲊI gave permissionﲋﲌto youﲍIndeed, heﲎ(is) surely your chiefﲏwhoﲐhas taught youﲑthe magicﲒso surely soonﲓﲔyou will knowﲕI will surely cut offﲖyour handsﲗand your feetﲘofﲙopposite sidesﲚand I will surely crucify youﲛallﲜ
Pharaoh threatened, “How dare you believe in him before I give you permission? He must be your master who taught you magic, but soon you will see. I will certainly cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, then crucify you all.”
- Reflections
ﲝThey saidﲞNoﲟﲠharmﲡIndeed, weﲢtoﲣour Lordﲤ(will) returnﲥ
They responded, “˹That would be˺ no harm! Surely to our Lord we will ˹all˺ return.
- Reflections
ﲦIndeed, weﲧhopeﲨthatﲩwill forgiveﲪusﲫour Lordﲬour sinsﲭbecauseﲮwe areﲯ(the) firstﲰ(of) the believersﲱ
We really hope that our Lord will forgive our sins, as we are the first to believe.”
- Reflections
ﲲ ﲳAnd We inspiredﲴtoﲵMusaﲶ[that]ﲷTravel by nightﲸwith My slavesﲹindeed, youﲺ(will be) followedﲻ
And We inspired Moses, ˹saying,˺ “Leave with My servants at night, for you will surely be pursued.”
- Reflections
ﲼThen sentﲽFiraunﲾinﲿthe citiesﳀgatherersﳁ
Then Pharaoh sent mobilizers to all cities,

ﳂIndeedﳃtheseﳄ(are) certainly a bandﳅsmallﳆ

ﳏSo We expelled themﳐfromﳑgardensﳒand springsﳓ
So We lured the tyrants out of ˹their˺ gardens, springs,

ﳘﳙThusﳚAnd We caused to inherit themﳛ(the) Children of Israelﳜ(the) Children of Israelﳝ
So it was. And We awarded it ˹all˺ to the Children of Israel.

ﳞSo they followed themﳟ(at) sunriseﳠ
And so they pursued them at sunrise.
