ﱁAnd they (will) sayﱂWhat (is)ﱃfor usﱄnotﱅwe seeﱆmenﱇwe used toﱈcount themﱉamongﱊthe bad onesﱋ
The tyrants will ask ˹one another˺, “But why do we not see those we considered to be lowly?

ﱌDid we take themﱍ(in) ridiculeﱎorﱏhas turned awayﱐfrom themﱑthe visionﱒ
Were we wrong in mocking them ˹in the world˺? Or do our eyes ˹just˺ fail to see them ˹in the Fire˺?”

ﱓIndeedﱔthatﱕ(is) surely (the) truth ﱖ(the) quarrelingﱗ(of the) peopleﱘ(of) the Fireﱙ
This dispute between the residents of the Fire will certainly come to pass.

ﱚSayﱛOnlyﱜI amﱝﱞa warnerﱟand notﱠ(is there) anyﱡgodﱢexceptﱣAllahﱤthe Oneﱥthe Irresistibleﱦ
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I am only a warner. And there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Allah—the One, the Supreme.

ﱧLordﱨ(of) the heavensﱩand the earthﱪand whateverﱫ(is) between themﱬthe All-Mightyﱭthe Oft-Forgivingﱮ
˹He is the˺ Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between—the Almighty, Most Forgiving.”

ﱯSayﱰIt (is)ﱱa newsﱲgreatﱳ
Say, “This ˹Quran˺ is momentous news,

ﱴYouﱵfrom itﱶturn awayﱷ
from which you ˹pagans˺ are turning away.”

ﱸNotﱹisﱺfor meﱻanyﱼknowledgeﱽ(of) the chiefsﱾthe exaltedﱿwhenﲀthey were disputingﲁ
˹And say,˺ “I had no knowledge of the highest assembly ˹in heaven˺ when they differed ˹concerning Adam˺.

ﲂNotﲃhas been revealedﲄto meﲅexceptﲆthat onlyﲇI amﲈa warnerﲉclearﲊ
What is revealed to me is that I am only sent with a clear warning.”

ﲋWhenﲌsaidﲍyour Lordﲎto the AngelsﲏIndeed, I Amﲐgoing to createﲑa human beingﲒfromﲓclayﲔ
˹Remember, O Prophet˺ when your Lord said to the angels, “I am going to create a human being from clay.

ﲕSo whenﲖI have proportioned himﲗand breathedﲘinto himﲙofﲚMy spiritﲛthen fall downﲜto himﲝprostratingﲞ
So when I have fashioned him and had a spirit of My Own ˹creation˺ breathed into him, fall down in prostration to him.”

ﲟSo prostratedﲠthe Angelsﲡall of themﲢtogetherﲣ
So the angels prostrated all together—

ﲤExceptﲥIblisﲦhe was arrogantﲧand becameﲨofﲩthe disbelieversﲪ
but not Iblîs, who acted arrogantly, becoming unfaithful.

ﲫHe saidﲬO IblisﲭWhatﲮprevented youﲯthatﲰyou (should) prostrateﲱto (one) whomﲲI createdﲳﲴwith My HandsﲵAre you arrogantﲶorﲷare youﲸofﲹthe exalted onesﲺ
Allah asked, “O Iblîs! What prevented you from prostrating to what I created with My Own Hands? Did you ˹just˺ become proud? Or have you always been arrogant?”

ﲻHe saidﲼI amﲽbetterﲾthan himﲿYou created meﳀfromﳁfireﳂand You created himﳃfromﳄclayﳅ
He replied, “I am better than he is: You created me from fire and him from clay.”

ﳆHe saidﳇThen get outﳈof itﳉfor indeed, youﳊ(are) accursedﳋ
Allah commanded, “Then get out of Paradise, for you are truly cursed.

ﳌAnd indeedﳍupon youﳎ(is) My curseﳏuntilﳐ(the) Dayﳑ(of) Judgmentﳒ
And surely upon you is My condemnation until the Day of Judgment.”

ﳓHe saidﳔMy LordﳕThen give me respiteﳖuntilﳗ(the) Dayﳘthey are resurrectedﳙ
Satan appealed, “My Lord! Then delay my end until the Day of their resurrection.”

ﳚHe saidﳛThen indeed, youﳜ(are) ofﳝthose given respiteﳞ
Allah said, “You will be delayed

ﳟUntilﳠ(the) Dayﳡ(of) the timeﳢwell-knownﳣ
until the appointed Day.”

ﳤHe saidﳥThen by Your mightﳦI will surely mislead themﳧallﳨ
Satan said, “By Your Glory! I will certainly mislead them all,

ﳩExceptﳪYour slavesﳫamong themﳬthe chosen onesﳭ
except Your chosen servants among them.”
