ﱁBut they denied himﱂso indeed, theyﱃ(will) surely be broughtﱄ
But they rejected him, so they will certainly be brought ˹for punishment˺.

ﱅExceptﱆ(the) slavesﱇ(of) Allahﱈthe chosen onesﱉ
But not the chosen servants of Allah.

ﱊAnd We leftﱋfor himﱌamongﱍthe later generationsﱎ
We blessed him ˹with honourable mention˺ among later generations:

ﱏPeace beﱐuponﱑ ﱒElijahﱓ
“Peace be upon Elias.”
- Reflections
ﱔIndeed, Weﱕthusﱖrewardﱗthe good-doersﱘ
Indeed, this is how We reward the good-doers.
- Reflections
ﱙIndeed, he (was)ﱚofﱛOur slavesﱜbelievingﱝ
He was truly one of Our faithful servants.
- Reflections
ﱞAnd indeedﱟLutﱠ(was) ofﱡthe Messengersﱢ
And Lot was indeed one of the messengers.

ﱣWhenﱤWe saved himﱥand his familyﱦallﱧ
˹Remember˺ when We delivered him and all of his family,
- Reflections
ﱨExceptﱩan old womanﱪ(was) amongﱫthose who remained behindﱬ
except an old woman, who was one of the doomed.
- Reflections
ﱭThenﱮWe destroyedﱯthe othersﱰ
Then We ˹utterly˺ destroyed the rest.
- Reflections
ﱱAnd indeed, youﱲsurely passﱳby themﱴ(in the) morningﱵ
You ˹Meccans˺ certainly pass by their ruins day
- Reflections
ﱶﱷAnd at nightﱸThen will notﱹyou use reasonﱺ
and night. Will you not then understand?
- Reflections
ﱻAnd indeedﱼYunusﱽ(was) surely ofﱾthe Messengersﱿ
And Jonah was indeed one of the messengers.

ﲀWhenﲁhe ran awayﲂtoﲃthe shipﲄladenﲅ
˹Remember˺ when he fled to the overloaded ship.
- Reflections
ﲆThen he drew lotsﲇand wasﲈofﲉthe losersﲊ
Then ˹to save it from sinking,˺ he drew straws ˹with other passengers˺. He lost ˹and was thrown overboard˺.
- Reflections
ﲋThen swallowed himﲌthe fishﲍwhile heﲎ(was) blameworthyﲏ
Then the whale engulfed him while he was blameworthy.

ﲐAnd if notﲑthat heﲒwasﲓofﲔthose who glorifyﲕ
Had he not ˹constantly˺ glorified ˹Allah˺,
- Reflections
ﲖCertainly, he (would have) remainedﲗinﲘits bellyﲙuntilﲚthe Dayﲛthey are resurrectedﲜ
he would have certainly remained in its belly until the Day of Resurrection.

ﲝ ﲞBut We cast himﲟonto the open shoreﲠwhile heﲡ(was) illﲢ
But We cast him onto the open ˹shore˺, ˹totally˺ worn out,
- Reflections
ﲣAnd We caused to growﲤover himﲥa plantﲦofﲧgourdﲨ
and caused a squash plant to grow over him.
- Reflections
ﲩAnd We sent himﲪtoﲫa hundredﲬthousandﲭorﲮmoreﲯ
We ˹later˺ sent him ˹back˺ to ˹his city of˺ at least one hundred thousand people,
- Reflections
ﲰAnd they believedﲱso We gave them enjoymentﲲforﲳa whileﲴ
who then believed ˹in him˺, so We allowed them enjoyment for a while.
- Reflections
ﲵThen ask themﲶDoes your Lordﲷ(have) daughtersﲸwhile for themﲹ(are) sonsﲺ
Ask them ˹O Prophet˺ if your Lord has daughters, while the pagans ˹prefer to˺ have sons.

ﲻOrﲼdid We createﲽthe Angelsﲾfemalesﲿwhile theyﳀ(were) witnessesﳁ
Or ˹ask them˺ if We created the angels as females right before their eyes.
- Reflections
ﳂNo doubtﳃindeed, theyﳄofﳅtheir falsehoodﳆ[they] sayﳇ
Indeed, it is one of their ˹outrageous˺ fabrications to say,
- Reflections
ﳈAllah has begottenﳉAllah has begottenﳊand indeed, theyﳋsurely (are) liarsﳌ
“Allah has children.” They are simply liars.

ﳍHas He chosenﳎ[the] daughtersﳏoverﳐsonsﳑ
Has He chosen daughters over sons?
