ﱁNotﱂcan precedeﱃanyﱄnationﱅits termﱆand notﱇthey (can) delay (it)ﱈ
No people can advance their doom, nor can they delay it.

ﱉThenﱊWe sentﱋOur Messengersﱌﱍ(in) successionﱎEvery timeﱏEvery timeﱐcameﱑ(to) a nationﱒits Messengerﱓﱔthey denied himﱕso We made (them) follow ﱖsome of themﱗothersﱘand We made themﱙﱚnarrationsﱛSo awayﱜwith a people ﱝnotﱞthey believeﱟ
Then We sent Our messengers in succession: whenever a messenger came to his people, they denied him. So We destroyed them, one after the other, reducing them to ˹cautionary˺ tales. So away with the people who refuse to believe!

ﱠThenﱡWe sentﱢMusaﱣand his brotherﱤHarunﱥwith Our Signsﱦand an authorityﱧclearﱨ
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and compelling proof

ﱩToﱪFiraunﱫand his chiefsﱬbut they behaved arrogantlyﱭand they wereﱮa peopleﱯhaughtyﱰ
to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they behaved arrogantly and were a tyrannical people.

ﱱThen they saidﱲShall we believeﱳ(in) two menﱴlike ourselvesﱵwhile their peopleﱶfor usﱷ(are) slavesﱸ
They argued, “Will we believe in two humans, like ourselves, whose people are slaves to us?”

ﱹSo they denied themﱺand they becameﱻofﱼthose who were destroyedﱽ
So they rejected them both, and ˹so˺ were among those destroyed.

ﱾAnd verilyﱿWe gaveﲀMusaﲁthe Scriptureﲂso that they mayﲃbe guidedﲄ
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture, so perhaps his people would be ˹rightly˺ guided.

ﲅAnd We madeﲆ(the) sonﲇ(of) Maryamﲈand his motherﲉa Signﲊand We sheltered themﲋtoﲌa high groundﲍof tranquilityﲎof tranquilityﲏand water springsﲐ
And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and gave them refuge on high ground—a ˹suitable˺ place for rest with flowing water.

ﲑO MessengersﲒO MessengersﲓEatﲔofﲕthe good thingsﲖand doﲗﲘrighteous (deeds)ﲙIndeed, I Amﲚof whatﲛyou doﲜAll-Knowerﲝ
O messengers! Eat from what is good and lawful, and act righteously. Indeed, I fully know what you do.

ﲞAnd indeedﲟthisﲠyour religionﲡ(is) religionﲢoneﲣAnd I Amﲤyour Lordﲥso fear Meﲦ
Surely this religion of yours is ˹only˺ one, and I am your Lord, so fear Me ˹alone˺.

ﲧBut they cut offﲨtheir affair (of unity)ﲩbetween themﲪﲫ(into) sectsﲬeachﲭfactionﲮin whatﲯthey haveﲰrejoicingﲱ
Yet the people have divided it into different sects, each rejoicing in what they have.

ﲲSo leave themﲳinﲴtheir confusionﲵuntilﲶa timeﲷ
So leave them ˹O Prophet˺ in their heedlessness for a while.

ﲸDo they thinkﲹthat whatﲺWe extend to themﲻ[with it]ﲼofﲽwealthﲾand childrenﲿ
Do they think, since We provide them with wealth and children,

ﳀWe hastenﳁto themﳂinﳃﳄthe goodﳅNayﳆnotﳇthey perceiveﳈ
that We hasten to ˹honour˺ them ˹with˺ all kinds of good? No! They are not aware.

ﳉIndeedﳊthose whoﳋ[they]ﳌfromﳍ(the) fearﳎ(of) their Lordﳏ(are) cautiousﳐ
Surely those who tremble in awe of their Lord,

ﳑAnd thoseﳒ[they]ﳓin (the) Signsﳔ(of) their Lordﳕbelieveﳖ
and who believe in the revelations of their Lord,
- Reflections
ﳗAnd thoseﳘ[they]ﳙwith their Lordﳚ(do) notﳛassociate partnersﳜ
and who associate none with their Lord,
